I've completed and passed my second PhD at Flinders University this week where I contextualised the complete The 51 Paintings Suite films. The project made a fresh discovery about metamodernism where I applied a new epistemological affect theory named 'A Structure of Reason' to slow films as a reading for trauma memory. This discovery will be further developed into a forthcoming book which plots the foundations of a new cultural movement I am calling post-metamodernism. This will redefine current cultural readings of metamodernism as something else; a progression and evolution to a completely new approach to thinking about films. With many thanks to my two wonderful supervisors Claire and Nic who have worked with me for two and a half years to complete the project in its entirety.
